Thrilling, romantic and fast read containing a lot of interaction between ODC.The characters and the dialog had an edge to it that I really enjoyed in this story. More forthright conversations was refreshing.
Anne is given a voice in this story and she is inventful...
I will not write a summary of the events because I don't think I can do it without spoiling to much. But I don't think I am spoiling anything by revealing there will be a HEA...
I especially loved both of Darcy's brilliant ways of convincing Elizabeth to marry him, in the hallway of Longbourne and at Netherfield.
It also contains a lovely epilogue which is a must for me.
Heartily recommend this book.

The story was interesting and well written. Our beloved couple need time alone to understand one another.
A enjoyable compromise story. A desperate Ann locks Darcy and Elizabeth in the secluded wine cellar at Rosings. Darcy proposes. Elizabeth says no but neither can escape so are forced to talk.
I liked this reselling. It was an imaginative narrative of what could have happened. It is exciting to me being a romantic myself.
This is a good quick read. Thank heaven the locked in wine cellar helps to bring some understanding to ODC. They are layers like onions each layer brings deeper understanding.
I loved reading about Ann. We hear so little of her. She was quite a character in this book. The interesting conversations Elizabeth and Darcy have when forced together. The prologue was awesome , seeing what happened to Ann, and all the Bennett sisters. Great fun!
Delightful read - I couldn't put it down once I started reading it! Novellas often have a difficult time sufficiently developing characters and plots to satisfy JAFF fans...but, this book is extremely well-written, and the characters and plot are well-developed. Throwing Darcy and Lizzy together in a wine cellar helped them reach their HEA much more quickly than in cannon. I truly love this book! Great read!!! I recommend it highly! Review by Lisa Hatfield.
When Anne de Bourgh decides to take revenge on Darcy and Elizabeth by locking them in the dungeon of a winecellar at Rosings, sparks fly in more than one way. You know he admires her, almost as much as she dislikes him. Now they have nothing to do but talk after exhausting themselves trying to escape. Will the misunderstandings be removed? Will Lizzy desire the inevitable marriage? Or will their P&P still hold them back from the HEA they deserve? A quick, fun read.
